What are the prerequisites for a newcomer to get SAP FICO Job?
Let us start with the most common question,
Q1. Do I require a Finance Degree to apply for SAP FICO job ?
A1. NO. I know few Non-Financial background guys doing great in SAP FICO world and have seen CA/MBA finance guys struggling to get it cause they just won’t learn.
It is more EASY if you are a Finance Graduate/Post Graduate/CA/MBA Finance etc. to start syncing in the concepts easily. That is the only differentiation from a degree perspective. How fast can you understand Debit-Credit , Balance Sheet/ P&L ? Of course the Finance degree guys have an edge. They learnt these topics for 3/6 years compared to a Non-Finance degree guy.
Q2. Can I join SAP FICO fresh out of college after my Graduation/Post Graduation ?
A2. Yes you can. Many services companies like TCS, Infosys etc. have always been recruiting fresh CA’s/MBA’s from colleges.
Q3. Does experience matter to get a good SAP FICO Job ?
A3. Totally. You should hang on to your first JOB for a minimum of 3 years to learn something good and start looking out for the next switch. 1-2 years of experience is too low to make a Job switch. Of course, the better experience you have the better compensation you can demand while making a switch.
Q4. Can I fake my years struggling for job and show as experience ? Yeah ..we do get such questions.
A4. Well, personally we are totally against this foolishness. Truth is, people do it and in fact many of them. It’s about your own set of ethics. You follow them or you don’t. Sometimes not getting a Job definitely sends your Ethics book out of the window. Still, we hate this practice and would really like to help people to try genuinely and learn and get jobs instead of faking experience on your resume.

Business Analyst - Prerequisites
There is no defined way to become a business analyst. Often the BA has a technical background, whether having worked as a programmer or engineer, or completing a Computer Science degree. Others may move into a BA role from a business role – their status as a subject matter expert and their analytical skills make them suitable for the role. Business analysts may overlap into roles such as Project Manager or Consultant. When focused on specific systems, the term Business Systems Analyst may be used.
A BA does not always work in IT-related projects, as BA skills are often required in marketing and financial roles as well.
The IIBA provides a certification program for business analysts (CBAP), as well as providing a body of knowledge for the field (BABOK). However this is not well established yet in the Industry (not a requirement to be certified in order to work as a BA).
BAs work in different industries such as finance, banking, insurance, telecoms, utilities, software services, and so on. Due to working on projects at a fairly high level of abstraction, BAs can switch between industries. The business domain subject areas BAs may work in include workflow, billing, mediation, provisioning and customer relationship management. The telecom industry has mapped these functional areas in their Telecommunications Operational Map (eTOM) model, Banking in the Information Framework (IFW) and Emergency agencies in the Prevention Preparation Response and Recovery model (PPRR).
Finally, Business Analysts do not have a predefined and fixed role, as they can take a shape in operations (technology architect or project management) scaling, sales planning, strategy devising or even in developmental process. Hence, they get a different name for the played role.

Description
We are implementing a new Learning Management System (LMS) with integration with the Student Information System (SIS). This role provides integration planning and system testing and documentation to support the implementation and integration effort. The person in this role will apply analytical skills to proven testing methodologies in order to ensure successful integration with new LMS.
Position Responsibilities
· Produce required documentation for successful integration testing and exception handling processing.
· Develop test execution strategy and test plans after thorough review of functional and technical specifications.
· Perform unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing for SIS to LMS integration.
· Build and maintain test automation libraries to support testing efficiency and extensive test coverage.
· Work with Software Development team and LMS project management to resolve quality issues.
· Performs other duties and special projects as required.
Position Requirements/Knowledge/Skills
· BS/BA in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related degree preferred.
